This area serves as a repository for all game rules, laws and regulations. In order to create a simplified, streamlined process of law and order, this is the only section you need to look toward. If a rule/law is not found within these pages, it is not a rule/law. To clarify - any other document, post, or statement contained anywhere on this site (or any other site for that matter) concerning rules is null and void - the only source of game law is this document and its linked pages.
Some rules have associated jail terms, some do not. All of the punishments provided are suggested, and actual punishment may be more or less. Take these rules as a "do not do, period" not a "well, if I do that I'll only get punished for X days and then be free."
Modifications:
It's a great idea - make a new law and then punish a person for breaking it. In all seriousness though, a new law may be born of an action a player takes. If their action undermines game integrity, economy, community, etc, they will be punished under the new law. If not, they'll have used their "get out of jail free" card. Any changes made will be posted as a Game Announcement.
Terms of Service:
All "non-game" rules are contained in a document called the Terms of Service (TOS). By signing up or logging into your account, you state you agree to abide by the terms laid out in it. Any game laws or rules become irrelevant if you break the agreement. That is to say the TOS trumps any game rules. The TOS can be found by clicking here.
